Who is Brad a.k.a ShambazzleGames
Let’s get the character creation out of the way, then we can talk about building an adventure together. I am the product of a generation that mowed lawns for money and also sunk hours of weekend time into video games. I walked for miles to school in the snow and I spent hours on the internet when I got home the same way. I know what technology is coming in the newest next-gen gaming consoles and I know all the words to Detroit Rock City. I can binge-watch Rick and Morty and list my top five favourite Three’s Company moments. I suppose I am both parts hard-working, self-made post-boomer and simultaneously hard-core digital native. This gives me a unique perspective, a thirst for research and the ability to connect with millennials and boomers in equal strengths.
I have spent the last 12 years of my career building global content marketing strategies for some of the world’s biggest brands, from Apple to Target, Walmart and more. But this isn’t LinkedIn – THIS is LinkedIn.
What I truly, truly love is gaming, role-playing games (RPGs) specifically, with a distinct interest in tabletop role-playing games (TTPRGs) like Dungeons and Dragons. The only thing I enjoy nearly as much – possibly even more – is creating high-quality content and sharing those experiences with people who share that love and interest.
My favourite RPG writing and gaming content
I’m a writer and content creator, with a focus on video games, role-playing games and tabletop gaming. I’ve been playing Dungeons and Dragons ooff and on since AD&D (2e or 2nd edition) but really fell in love with it again in the curren 5th edition or 5e. I and a bunch of theatre friends of mine got together to play a run of the D&D 5e Starter Kit campaign – Lost Mines of Phandelver – and, like all things, I went face and eyes into the world of DnD 5e – I began by streaming tabletop map-making on my bed with a webcam hanging overhead and a standing lamp pointed at my face. Today I am a regular writer/blogger, podcast creator and producer, YouTube and (less occasionally) streamer.
